Doug your web site gets better all the time. There are pictures of Brockville’s past which I haven’t seen before. Thanks for a great site.
To anyone reading this comment, join Dougs e-mail list and receive updates from him as they happen.
Thanks again Doug.

Hi Doug,
I just sent the Brockville museum a photo of a vintage cup and saucer that I purchased in Iowa………it’s a very delicate little cup and saucer but it has a print of King St. similiar to your 1894 photo. Can you tell me anything about it? Thanks, nina
Nice to hear from you, Nina.
I know there are a lot of different valuable pieces of collectible Brockville commemorative china in circulation among collectors. Yours sounds like a good example.
I don’t really specialize in this field and can’t tell you where the pieces were manufactured, but I am sure they were all offered for sale in the Town of Brockville at some in the early 1900s.
The images were derived from photographs, so the image would be recognizable if a full size photograph has been found.
The Brockville museum has an extensive collection if you are ever visiting our city. And don’t forget to bring the cup and saucer with you.
I have not been shown your e-mailed photograph yet.
Happy collecting.

Excellent work Doug, as always!! I don’t think we would have a fraction of Brockville’s history archived this well if it wasn’t for you.
Outstanding service to the community and Canadian history buffs!
Thanks much!

Hi Doug,
Don’t know what happened to the note I just wrote you, you may get two of these? I’m the lady that wrote you about the little cup and saucer with King St. on it. I still have it and if anyone there in Brockville wants to buy it just offer me a price plus postage………I have no family history with it, I found it in a second hand store here in Iowa.
It’s a darling tiny cup and saucer up on four legs and it has gold delicate trim………….nina
